Privacy policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

Aasra Foundation runs this website. This page explains what information we collect when you use it, why, and what happens to it. We have tried to write it plainly rather than legally.

The short version

We collect only what you type into one of our two forms. We do not track you, we do not advertise, we do not sell anything to anyone, and we do not use analytics or tracking cookies. If you never fill in a form, we do not knowingly collect anything about you beyond the standard server records described below.

What we collect

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you enter. That is all we ask for and all we receive.

If you sign up for email updates, we collect your email address.

Automatically, our hosting provider keeps standard server records for every visitor — including IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested. These are generated by the infrastructure, not by us, and we do not use them to build any profile of you.

We do not ask for and do not want: your date of birth, your income, your health information, anything about your legal or personal background, or your government ID numbers. Please do not send these through the contact form. If you need to discuss something sensitive, ask us for a better way to do it.

What we do with it

Contact form messages are emailed to us so we can reply. They are not stored in any database we run — but they do remain in our email inbox, like any other message.

Email addresses from signups are kept by our email provider so we can write to you about Aasra's work. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below, and we do not use it to advertise to you anywhere.

Who else touches it

We use a small number of outside services to run this site. Each one has its own privacy policy.

Vercel hosts the site and generates the server records described above.

Resend delivers our email and stores our mailing list.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person rather than a bot. It receives technical information about your browser and connection in order to do that. We chose it specifically because it does not use tracking cookies or build advertising profiles.

Square handles donations. When you click through to donate, you leave this website entirely and everything after that point happens on Square's systems under Square's privacy policy. We never see or handle your card details.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. We use no analytics, no advertising pixels, no session tracking, and no social media embeds. Cloudflare Turnstile may store technical information in your browser strictly to verify your submission.

If that ever changes, we will say so on this page.

How long we keep things

Email messages stay in our inbox as long as we need them to help you, and we delete them when we no longer do. Mailing list addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Server records are kept by our host according to their own retention schedule.

[ATTORNEY: consider whether a specific retention period should be committed to here rather than described in general terms.]

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to us at support@aasrausa.com and we will do it. You do not need to give a reason.

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message.

[ATTORNEY: California's CCPA/CPRA generally applies to for-profit businesses, and most nonprofits fall outside its scope. Confirm whether Aasra is in or out, and whether any CalOPPA-specific disclosure language is needed.]

Children

This site is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a parent or guardian writes to us about a child, we treat that information as carefully as everything else.

[ATTORNEY: Aasra's programs may serve minors. Confirm whether COPPA or any California minor-privacy provision applies to information received through the website, as distinct from information collected in person during programs.]

Changes

If we change how this site handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
